Metal Kick Plate Choose the Finish, Material, Mounting, and Size for Your Door
GDI Hardware commercial and residential kick plates are made of 3/64 thick metal with a choice of aluminum or stainless steel. We offer the following finishes: Satin Brass, Black, Dark Brown, and Satin Silver. Magnetic- and adhesive-mounted kick plates are blank without holes and are supplied with magnetic or 3m adhesive strips.
Screw-mounted kick plates have pre-drilled holes and are supplied with matching installation screws. The number of pre-drilled holes is determined by kick plate size. All kick plates have a protective film on the surface. Please remove this protective film to reveal the plate's smooth, clean finish.
It is recommended to remove the protective film post-installation. Measure the width of the door. Subtract 2 from the width of the door for stops and weather stripping. Measure from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the first panel. Then subtract 1 from the height (if your door is flat and does not have a panel, choose desired height).If the bottom of the door has weather stripping, do not include that in the height. A 36" wide door with a 9" tall bottom rail would use an 8" x 34" kick plate.
